Rules & Regulations – Please Read It Carefully…!!!

These are the rules formed by the CPL management committee and every player is expected to abide by all these rules. Committee expects the entire individual to know the rules before taking the Field.

Before The Game

  1. Each team must be registered in CricClubs APP & CPL , Max 18 player with Name & Photos.(Uniform & Reg Fee must submit before bidding.
  2. Please note that once a team member has been named as part of one team, he will not be allowed to play for another team in our league, if any discrepancy found at any stage of game that team will be disqualified as per CPL management committee decision.
  3. All players from both playing teams should be present at ground 15 minutes before scheduled start time. Toss should be done 5 minutes before scheduled start time.
  4. If opponent team delayed after the fixed match start time, 1 over deduction there for each 5 mint delay. After 15 mint the available team captain can inform management for a walk over.
  5. The list of playing 11 must be analysed before the toss by opponent team captains.
  6. All matches will be 15 overs, one bowler can bowl maximum 3 overs. There are no restrictions on numbers of Bowlers.
  7. No Srilankan bats will be allowed for tournament.
  8. A new ball would be used in each innings. Teams can replace the new ball after 5 overs (If required). Balls should be provided by CPL.

During The Game

Keep in mind we are playing a friendly league match & umpiring is by other Teammates of CPL.

  1. We urge the players to involve in fair-play under all circumstances.
  2. If a team misbehaves on the field such as abuse a player/ umpire or indulge in any activities that may cause unnecessary problems, CPL Management Committee have the right to STOP the match at any time and declare the Winners.
  3. Teams will not be allowed to replace players, during the tournament under any circumstances.
  4. It’s the duty of the captain to maintain discipline and decorum on the field.
  5. If a batsman needs a runner, umpire and fielding captain should take a decision regarding it.
  6. Any fielder can be substituted by a player in the team list. The substitute will not be allowed to bat or bowl.
  7. Cones / markings are placed to mark boundaries, but the fielder’s cooperation is highly recommended in close boundary
  8. Retired hurt – If a batsman gets injured or ill while batting, he may retire and resume his batting at a later stage in the innings at the fall of a wicket or when another batsman retires hurt.
  9. CPL Management committee will not be responsible for any injury / Death during the tournament and will not be claimed for any Insurance.
  10. The decisions of the umpires would be final and binding. No dispute would be taken out of the ground to the organising committee. Any concerns that a team may have should be recorded with the officiating umpires and he will in turn discuss the same with the Management Committee if needed.
  11. If a batsman leave the crease before ball dead for bat change or conversation is not allowed and should inform umpire also.
  12. Keeper up or move back during an over should inform umpire.
  13. In case of any dispute or conflict, only the Captains will be allowed to speak to the Umpires. The benefit of doubt in closes calls of a run-out or stumping goes to the batsmen. Umpires decision is final in any case.
  14. Teams should be in their uniform in field.
  15. There will be Power play of 5 overs & 3 fielders are allowed to field outside the circle . After power play 3 fielder should always inside the circle (Keeper & bowler not included this 3 fielders) throughout the game & max 5 fielders (including bowler 6) allowed at leg side.
  16. Scoring will be through CricClubs APP & team captains should verify the details of match before END MATCH on APP.
  17. Point will be distributed as per APP & team standing will be based on point & Net Run Rate.
  18. In case the scores are level, the tie match will be decided by a “SUPER OVER”. If Super Over also tie, then TOSS will decide the winner
